MCCABE BUILDING CONTACTORS

MBC is a local West Australian building company. Starting from the ground up in 2008 as McCabe Construction WA, then progressing to who we are today.
MBC Proprietary Limited's managing director, Thomas McCabe, has been involved in the building industry for over 20 years, working as a carpenter. He is passionate about the building and construction industry, carries a high level of integrity and intellect towards his projects, and influences this ideology in his team.

  • We have only the absolute highest regard for McCabe Construction. Thomas McCabe, construction manager, turned our 54m2 tin storage shed into a beautiful studio space. The before and after comparison is miraculous, and we can’t spend enough time in our new creative, inspired space.   • On behalf of Barclay Engineering, it is my pleasure to recommend McCabe Construction for future construction works. I had the opportunity to engage and work with Thomas McCabe in 2017 during the construction of the recently opened Optus Stadium.
    Thomas and his team of 7 workers were contracted to carry out the fit-out and installation of 750lm of stainless steel and glass handrails and balustrades and 350lm of bulkheads at the Optus Stadium in Perth (WA). Thomas` remarkable ability to follow and understand Barclay Engineering directions and engineering requirements as well as daily coordination with other trades and the main contractor on site has definitely guaranteed the successful delivery of the project, despite tight deadlines and challenges.
    We have truly valued McCabe`s attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, as well as its ongoing compliance with Barclay Engineering and the main contractor's high safety standards during construction works, and we would highly recommend his services.

  • Between April and June 2016, McCabe Construction was engaged by the Georgiou group to undertake various new and remedial works on the Curtin University Building 410 project. scope included the supply and installation of stainless steel handrails and ballustrade, stainless steel green walls, timer and wild steel street and garden furniture.
    During McCabe's time at B410, I represented Georgiou as project manager. Thomas McCabe personally managed and supervised all his work and reported directly to me on a daily basis. In addition to the new scope, Thomas accepted the scope and completed works left defective and/or incomplete by others unable to meet their contractual obligations.
    The project was in its final months, and the scope was critical in achieving practical completion. This work required investigation, design management, strong coordination with other sub-contractors and consultants and above all, a willingness to be dynamic whilst providing swift solutions.
    Thomas and his team helped Georgiou deliver a high-quality product with professionalism, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

  • I have been working with Thomas McCabe (McCabe Construction) since January 2015. Thomas has been working as a sub-contractor to Artex Enterprises on a number of projects.
    Baldivis Shopping Centre - installation of glass and stainless steel balustrade, bollards, bump rails, handrails, gates, trolley bays, general metal work and general carpentry work. City beach surf club - installation of glass and high polished stainless steel balustrade, handrail, gates and frames. Elizabeth Quay - installation of glass, stainless steel balustrade, mild steel balustrade and handrail.
    Thomas has supervised a team of up to six fabricators/ fitters / TA's to complete these works, including the organisation of materials, consumables, schedules, inductions and liaisons with the client. This has also included the organisation of high-risk works with the preparation of associated SWMS's and JSA's. Thomas has at all times worked with the utmost integrity taking the required project works to a satisfactory conclusion and maintaining good client relationships on site.
