Our story
McCabe Building Contractors was founded to offer better choices for clients seeking quality-built structures. After years of witnessing a lack of quality control in the industry, and experiencing the frustrations of working as a sub-contractor, Tom decided to take control and start his own company: a building company that prioritises excellence and integrity, ensuring clients receive the best possible outcomes.
Operating since September 2022, McCabe Building Contractors may be a relatively new company, but it's backed by over 20 years of experience. The journey began in 2008 with McCabe Construction, where Tom developed his skills as a sub-contractor across both residential and commercial markets.
Today, managing director Thomas McCabe leads a team that shares his high level of integrity and his passion for the building and construction industry.

Meet Tom McCabe
Tom McCabe's journey into the building industry began at the age of 14, inspired by working alongside his father, uncles, and grandfather.
He started his apprenticeship in November 2000 and has dedicated his life to the building and construction industry ever since. In 2018, he completed his diploma in building and construction at East Perth Campus.
His experience, from the highs and lows of the industry, has shaped him into the committed builder he is today.
Tom takes immense pride in seeing a project come to life, especially the major structural components that signify progress. The satisfaction of delivering a completed project to a client drives him daily.

With a focus on guiding clients through every step of the process, Rita combines patience and professionalism to ensure a smooth journey from start to finish. She is passionate about helping clients bring their dream homes to life, and nothing brings her more joy than seeing those dreams become a reality.

Optus Stadium
"On behalf of Barclay Engineering it is my pleasure to recommend McCabe Construction for future construction works. I had the opportunity to engage and work with Thomas McCabe in 2017 during the construction of the recently opened Optus Stadium. Thomas and his team of 7 workers were contracted to carry out the fit-out and installation of 750lm of stainless steel and glass handrails and balustrades, and 350lm of bulkheads at the stadium. His ability to follow engineering requirements and coordinate daily with other trades and the main contractor guaranteed successful delivery despite tight deadlines. We truly valued McCabe's attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, as well as ongoing compliance with our high safety standards, and we would highly recommend his services."
Curtin University Building 410
"Between April and June 2016 McCabe Construction was engaged by Georgiou Group to undertake new and remedial works on the Curtin University Building 410 project. Scope included supply and install of stainless steel handrails and balustrade, stainless steel green walls, and timber and mild steel street and garden furniture. Thomas McCabe personally managed and supervised all works and reported directly to me daily. In addition to new scope, Thomas accepted and completed works left defective or incomplete by others. The project was in its final months and the scope was critical to achieving practical completion, requiring investigation, design management, strong coordination and a willingness to be dynamic while providing swift solutions. Thomas and his team helped Georgiou deliver a high-quality product with professionalism and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others."
The Reveley
"I have been working with Thomas McCabe (McCabe Construction) since January 2015. Thomas has worked as a sub-contractor to Artex Enterprises on a number of projects, including Baldivis Shopping Centre (glass and stainless steel balustrade, bollards, bump rails, handrails, gates, trolley bays, general metal work and carpentry), City Beach Surf Club (glass and high-polished stainless steel balustrade, handrail, gates and frames) and Elizabeth Quay (glass, stainless steel and mild steel balustrade and handrail). Thomas has supervised teams of up to six fabricators, fitters and TAs to complete these works, including organising materials, schedules, inductions, client liaison and high-risk work documentation. He has at all times worked with the utmost integrity, taking each project to a satisfactory conclusion and maintaining good client relationships on site."
